Just how many ramp checks are performed in the Alvord, anyway?

Yeah, I know! Ya gotta take off from somewhere to get there!

I just spied a set of 150 wings on eBay, current bid $305,00, no reserve. No idea what year, about 2800 hours on them.
Why so cheap? The leading edge of one has been replaced and needs to be riveted in place. To do this properly will require deskinning the upper camber for access, installing new rivets from front to back, as per the factory assembly technique. I've done this before, and it's a time consuming chore! This guy may not have known that before he removed the leading edge. Still, for the winning bid (plus shipping, of course) and a little elbow grease, you've probably got a good set of wings (wish he lived near me!)
I have seen wings with factory long range tanks installed (advertised as serviceable) go for $500 each on eBay (or was it Barnstormers?)!
