About 820 SMOH, and I have no receipts of when that major overhaul happened, or what was done. As far as I can tell, the overhaul took place as many as 20 years ago. Other records/receipts show that the plane has generally received a lot of TLC over the years.

The oil pressure started getting low about 6 months ago. Low green, then below the green, and getting steadily worse. Also, on two different occastions, metal particles have been detected in the oil. Although, curiously, oil tests have generally been OK.
The last couple of times, the pressure drops after reaching normal oerating temp, and the last time, the mechanic told me it stayed in the red after running (on the ground) for 20 minutes and running up the engine repeatedly. Also, afterwards, the metal particles were found on the oil pressure relief valve plunger.
