I friend of mine has removed his Northstar M1A LORAN receiver from his Beechcraft. I believe he also has the tray, cable, and antenna (I'll double check).
Before installing an Apollo LORAN receiver, consider that there are no database updates for the Apollo.
However, you can still upgrade the database on the M1A, and there are zillions of spare M1A units for sale on eBay, and there is a company --- CMC Electronics -- that still supports the M1A (for now at least).
Also, the U.S. government has continued its support of the LORAN system. So ... this would be a CHEAP and very useful piece of 1980s technology for anyone interested in installing it.
I have an M1A in my plane, and I bought a spare for $40 on eBay.
Contact me if anyone is GENUINELY interested in installing an M1A in their plane. I might be able to get you one -- receiver, tray, cable, and antenna -- for nothin'.
