I got a call from Cliff at Aviation Magneto Service yesterday confirming that my mags had shipped.
One point he made is that they prefer to get the mags just as they came off the airplane except the ignition harness. In other words, don't remove the gear. They will R&R the gear with a new nut and cotter pin, torqued to the proper spec, ready to re-install on the airplane.
I had removed my gears because all the other company's I had looked at had an additional charge for removing the gear.
Not a big deal. Cliff just made sure I knew the torque specs and let me know that he had sent along a new nut and cotter pin.
