Well, it looks like C-FETZ will be leaving on a fairly long journey next Wednesday, June 22rd on route to it's new home in North Carolina. For information purposes, I will endeavor to record/post the process we plan going through, and the results of that. Originally, we thought de-registration and applying a new temp registration mark would be the easiest procedure. Well, it looks like it'll be easier then that. The new owner will arrive Tuesday night, Wednesday morning, we'll be at the Transport Canada office to start the process of him getting a Foreign License Validation Certificate. After several calls, transport Canada civil aviation has assured us that this process will only take a few hours at best. I'll attach the form for information purposes, with this in hand, he'll be able to fly a Canadian Registered aircraft" in Canada, for up to 90 days. He's a fairly new guy to aviation, unfamiliar with mountain flying and things like that, so for the several legs of the route, I'll be tagging along just to make sure he's comfortable and well on his way. We plan departing as soon as we get him his certificate, and by late evening, weather cooperating we should be deep into Montana or South/North Dakota. I haven't decided as to how far I'll go, but certainly a couple of days or so. He's got 50 hours under his belt and hopefully will enjoy the experience and the trip. Guess we'll see how things go,, I'm sad about it all, but Controller certainly did well. By the time he'd agreed to the purchase, 2 more individuals were very motivated and waited for the outcome of this pending sale. This doesn't include several others that were interested, but not in a position to purchase right away. Anyways, as we proceed forward, I'll try and keep this updated so that if others ever think of doing this, there would be some documentation of this particular process,,,
