Hi all, I'm a new member and just beginning my search for a 150. I've been toying with the idea of a purchase over the past couple of years and just now getting serious. This looks like a great resource and I've already been using a couple of the searches. Like most folks, I'm a bit anxious about getting a pre-buy done on planes that aren't local (I'm in Houston, TX). I'm hoping to get some help from you all.
I of course want a bird that's mechanically sound and in descent shape, but to get picky I want a straight tail with just a VFR panel. HD nose gear and shoulder harnesses would be nice. I'm kind of partial to the fastback, but the omni-vision is ok too.
I'll take any advice on what pre '66 models you folks like.
On barnstormers.com there is a '59 (N5636E) and a '60 (N6556T) for sale, I'd appreciate any first hand info anyone has about either one.
