Well, I learned something new. The axles I have will not work for Gordon. Come to find out, the gear box and landing gear were changed out to a newer model on my parts airplane. I did some digging in the logbooks and paperwork from that AC and found a 337 showing the change. The original 1959 landing gear and gear box was removed and replaced with the landing gear from a 1967 150.
The part number is different between the two, but that may just represent the different bolt pattern at the axle end. I'm wondering if, mechanically, the later flat-gear would bolt up and fit in the earlier fuselage. The landing gear bulkhead is the same between the two, so it just might work.
Of course, getting 337 approval might be difficult since the part numbers don't interchange between the two aircraft.
This approval process may be easier now that I have a signed/approved copy of a 337 for this change. I will make my copy available to any member that is looking to make this same change.
