One of the little plastic handhold straps (called "chicken straps" in my misspent youth) mounted on the window post finally broke after 51 years of faithful service. Does anyone know of a reasonable replacement or substitute? Nervous passengers like them, and they're handy to hang excess cables, etc. on.

Your best solution is to take the pieces to an auto upholstery shop and have them make you a new strap with your old metal clips. Your other option is to find a 1963-1965 2 door Chrysler New Yorker and remove the door assist strap and use that.
