Those gears on eBay have quite a bit of pitting on the faces, the yellow tags from A.S.S. just ensure no cracks or structural flaws - they don't necessarily guarantee satisfactory condition. (as I understand it anyway) That whole line on the tag of "additional inspection may be required" deal...
I've sent the link to my mechanic though and asked him what key details to look for in determining serviceability condition.
