1970 Cessna 150K with Long Range Fuel. Here is the good, the bad and the ugly. This 150 had a runout engine with a prop strike. The owner contacted me about purchasing my fresh overhauled O-200A and my new McCauley 1A101DCM-69/50 prop to install on the airplane. In the end he decided that he would just sell me the airplane. The airplane is in the Basin Aviation hangar at Midland Airpark KMDD. I am scheduled to bring my new engine and prop to KMDD and R&R the engine/prop and fly it back to Georgetown, TX first of next week. In the meantime, I thought that there might be someone out there with a good engine/prop that wants an LR airplane and is willing to put in the time/effort or pay Basin Aviation to do the work. The paint on the airplane is original (and it shows as original), the interior has had some upgrades and the glass is OK. There is no damage history and currently the only thing to make this 150 flyable is the engine/prop. Annual is current until March 2023. Total time is a little over 9,000 (Early Pipeline Inspection?). The airplane has been based in Central Kansas its whole life (no corrosion). Avionics is a Michaels 300 Nav/Comm, Narco AT-150A w/Encoder, ELT and a Garmin 396 with an Air Gizmo mount. Complete logbooks. I physically looked at the airplane and it has no hail or corrosion. At the $12K price the currently installed engine is not included. Gordon Cragg (713)-502-7274 GordonCragg737@gmail.com
