Sometimes, buying a plane is more difficult than buying a used car. Believe me, there are a lotta sharks in the water out there.

I looked at several myself, went through the prebuy process, and still, there were a few issues that perhaps could've been avoided.

Hindsight is 20-20.

Disinterested nechanic doing a COMPLETE prebuy - to annual tolerances and specifications. INSIST the mechanic be brutally honest. Yeah, it'll cost ya for the inspection. But, the money that you spend is MORE than made up in what you'll save in repairs and issues that might otherewise pop up down the road.

It's a blast hunting for the perfect bird for you. Even more of a blast owning. Being able to come and go as you please - go where and when you want.... you get the idea.
