A friend gifted these two David Clark Headsets to Elaine and I many years ago. I upgraded both with gel ear seals and Headsets, Inc. ANR kits and used them as backup/guest headsets in our 182. The one with the flexible metal mic arm works fine on our pilot intercom jacks, but did not work right with the co-pilot/passenger circuit in our 182 - there is some kind of filter on the mic that didn't work great with other headsets on a shared input. Both otherwise work as expected.
Are they perfect? No.
Are they free? Yes.
