Well .... I'm taking the next step on this thing. The mechanic/owner is faxing over the logbook entries related to the rebuild and my mechanic and I are going to get the microscope out and see what we can find. He's sticking to his price, but I may have found someone who will give me more than I expected for my engine, so I'm still looking at a net cost of around $6,000 for a new engine.
If we do this thing, my mechanic and I are going to do the best we can to get a comprehensive performance comparison between my 2000 hour O-235 and this zero-time sparrow hawk conversion. I'll repeat the performance comparison when it has 200 hours on it.
