Why limit it to just the spinner? Sign off everything on the plane yourself. whistle

That's the idea, Hung!!

Who is the authority per the FAR's? The Administrator, Right?

And in these two statements, who has The Administrator handed over the FINAL AUTHORITY??

To the Pilot in Command!!

Right?? smirk

The Feds would never suspect this was the wrong spinner during the ramp check. No worries!! (We need the tongue sticking out icon here!)

If the Feds ever had the occasion to review the aircraft log and saw your suggested entry, they would have all they need to trigger a very close scrutiny. Why break the rules and then bring attention to breaking the rules by logging that you're breaking the rules.

Now if the spinner change never got logged...I agree, it would probably never get discovered.

I am surprised at you! Not document maintenance?? The regulations are quite specific about logging maintenance. Besides, why would the Feds ever have a requirement to review the logbooks? But, if they ever did, they would be required to ask for specific entries. So, unless they ask to see the entries pertaining to the installation of the spinner..........

Well.........

If they did, we already covered the legalities of installing the spinner assembly, have we not? wink

Other wise, You never hand over your complete logbooks!! smirk

You've never heard of the FAA reviewing logbooks, not just specific entries?

They cannot just go on a fishing expedition.

Oops! Allow me to rephrase that. The FAA will demand to see your logbooks. For most people will comply out of fear. But, legally, they need to request specific information. You have your rights. I suggest you run it past your aviation experienced attorney.......................

Bill,

I'm glad that you didn't get the job with Reno FSS. Had you got it, you would no longer have a target for your rants, and this would be a boring forum indeed. grin
