I've also found BAS to be good honest people selling quality products:

Great thread Bill!

Lightspeed - Hands down excellent support and service. I would never hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Davtron - You know, those nifty digital clocks, chronos, OAT, etc... makers. Small company with outstanding support. Free of charge the tech sent me all the parts (resistors and LEDs) and handwritten instructions on how to convert the backlighting of a 14v unit to 28v. After the parts arrived, he was fast and friendly in answering all my remaining questions via email and the modificaiton went off without a hitch.

Aircraft Spruce - Well, everyone has dealt with them. Extremely fast and efficient at expediting orders, and their prices can rarely be beat for certified parts.

All great suppliers listed. I would only add McFarlane Aviation. I talked to a women sales rep and she knew more about Flap roller installation than my Mechanic? Great source for the little stuff and fast shipments.

Does the forum have a section/list of "recommended" (known to be good) vendors with contact info? Coud be handy.

I think that would be a heck of an idea. Maybe a short description on what they have for the 150. Web address if available. Break it down by areas of the plane. Need seat belts repaired or replaced? Here are the choices.

It would even benefit the non-wrench turners here. wink

For inexpensive but high quality avionics, Mac Avionics in Lakeland, FL is excellent. Same airport as Gulf Coast Avionics, but cheaper when it comes for installs. GCA is excellent for ordering stuff on the internet to be installed at home when they have a sale.
