Aye! I realize the club wouldn't generally want to endorse particular companies, but I think a list of "Club Member Testimonials" would be an excellent idea!

And maybe it'll help stop the silliness and acrimonious threads we've had the misfortune to witness lately.

AYE!!!! laugh

IMHO it should be an "if you can't say something nice, don't..." kind of a thing. Purely positive testimonies about those vendors who have earned them. Just my $.02

I had a positive experience with my SKY TEC starter. They took time to explain things and how the installation would be done by the mechanic. (I don't know how they would stand behind it if something went wrong though. ) I hope I don't need to find out and I enjoy having the starter continue to work like a starter should.

My experience with Sky-Tec has been excellent as well. Their techs are great at helping solve problems...even when the starter itself really isn't the basic problem.

Yeah. I think I forgot to include them in my list. But that purchase was totally no-hassle. The starter went in as instructed and works very well. I like the push-button start, but there is just something I miss about the old pull start ...

It was 10% over COST! That could sometimes equate to 30% or 40% or more off list price. Most dealers already give 10% off list anyway.

Alas, that deal has completely dissolved! Spectrum was apparently honoring the discount on a hit or miss basis anyway.... some members got it, others didn't! It was an open ended verbal contract at best, and they simply quit honoring it, with no notice! Worse, the same people I negotiated with now pretend to not know anything about it, and that ticks me off!

Loyalty?

Sure! I'll give them what they've earned! mad
