I found a David Clark headset for sale on e-bay. I've put a few low-ball bids in, but haven't met the reserve. Clcik here. [cgi.ebay.com]

The Buy it Now price is $149.99. And it's being sold by Wentworth Aviation. They're big into aviation salvage.

Does this seem like a fair price?

Keep in mind you will have to buy an adapter for the 2 plug setup for your plane. Looks like the mic is correct tho.

There are cheaper and better ones on EBay if you look.

New fixed wing DC's aren't that much more are nearly twice as expensive... but you don't have to modify, clean, and sanitize them first! sick

Naw! It's still a good deal, I guess. What's in a name, though? I've used (non-noise cancelling, non-ANR) DC's, Softcoms, and Flightcoms, and haven't found enough difference in them to justify the DC's "new" price. My Flightcoms are still working after almost 15 years, while my (really old and abused) DC headset (from my military years) quit working at about 5 years from new (someday I'll repair and modify them and press them into civilian service).

I spent around 80 bucks or so to convert mine, my Wife's. At 230 or so, a good set of DC's is not a bad price. That might give you more to compare to on eBay tho.
