Scott,
Here's a whole plane. Keep the engine and sell off the rest of the parts OR, sell the airframe to FletchAir in Houston, TX... Only one problem, it's a C2C and not an L2C frown

From Barnstormers:
AMERICAN (GRUMMAN) AA-1A • $5,500 • PROJECT FOR SALE • 1972 Grumman AA-1A, Lycoming O-235-C2C, TT 4036, TBO 2227, McCauley prop, Complete project, engine ran when disassembled, all log books, all equipment functioned (instruments, flaps, ect.) Plane was disassembled to restore. All paint stripped, light hail damage. Needs all plastic (canopy, side windows, tailcone, rudder cap, ect) Call for details. $5,500 OBO • Contact Louis T. Heller, Owner - located Edgewood, NM USA • Telephone: 505-944-5123 • Posted September 14, 2013

Could be good for some horse tradin', though.

Another C2C:

LYC O235 C2C • $1,500 • FOR SALE BY OWNER • Nice clean Lycoming O235 C2C. No logs or accessories. Same crankshaft as an L2C. • Contact Robert A. Perkins, Owner - located Somerset, WI USA • Telephone: 715-222-0869 • Posted September 12, 2013

Aren't the L's the only model that's eligible for the Sparrowhawk conversion?

Scott

I went and looked at the data plate today. It is an O-235C. frown
I do not know if it is something you could still use so I have not emailed you the paper work yet. Let me know if you are still interested.

It has to be a L2C. I'm checking to see if the FISDO will let me use N2C without conversion.

Should not be a problem to rebuild using L2C cylinders. (that's the difference between N2C and L2C)
I would check w/ Lycoming though.
