I'm in need of a throttle clamp 0450191-3 (Cessna catalog fig 36 #39) if you have have a bracket 0450191-3 (fig 56 #39) or dimensions so I can make one. I'd appreciated it. I've called a few salvage yards but no joy.

Hey Pedro,

That clamp is a 3/16 and is part # AN742-3 from Aircraft Spruce for 54 cents.

While it is true that some IA's are more picky than others most will sign off an annual if they feel the aircraft is safe and within limits.

If you feel that he or she is being unreasonable for some reason then it's time to check with another AP or IA. Is there a local EAA Chapter near you? That would be a good place to check and get involved with as most chapters have several good aircraft technicians that can be of great help.
