Seeking a fuel shut off valve in serviceable condition, o200a core, baffling, and a good upper and lower cowling.

Scott even though Cessna says the selector switch isn't serviceable,, it it is.

Oh yeah, if you have one, don’t throw it away. That fuel selector can be disassembled, cleaned up and be made good as new again. And they’re just about worth their weight in gold. .

Yes they can be overhauled.
You need one O ring.
It is basically a brass Petcock with a O ring and a spring to keep it tight.
The valve is supposed to be used as an emergency off valve. The manual says it should be wired open with thin safety wire (.020??).
The brass can be lightly cleaned. Do not use silicone lube to lube the valve. It is supposed to be brass on brass.
Some mechanics use "fuel Lube" which turns out to be a mil spec.compound that does not dissolve in fuel. Also Called "EZTURN".
It is also a dielectric for use on screws and bolt of dissimilar metals and acts as a anti-sieze. Very sticky stuff one small tube will last a lifetime. Also used on threads on flare fittings (not the first 2 threads) and other uses..

A EXTREMELY light coat inside the petcock and on the flat where the spring face is helps the natural friction of the brass and the O ring stops leaks...

Just to add a bit - early 150s (I believe all straight-tails) did not call for safety-wire on the fuel valve. I believe that was added on the slant-tails when the fuel valve was relocated from vertical to horizontal position.

In any event, the fuel valve should be checked every annual to make sure it actually stops the flow of fuel. Note - if the valve is shut off while the engine is idling, it takes a surprisingly long amount of time before the engine actually stops. Something on the order of 2-3 minutes. At cruise speed it happens much faster, but it’s still not instantaneous.

Someone needs to educate the newbies that if they want the support from the 150/152 community, they have to participate in the 150/152 community. Can't just make a post with a phone number, not fill out your profile, not check back in on the forum, and expect help to come flocking to you. I keep seeing this pattern and wonder what can be done to change it. Given this is one of the best aviation type clubs on the internet (that hasn't been ruined by off-topic guns, politics, and religion), it seems a shame that new people don't stick around for more than a day or two. Maybe a welcome to the forum email that gives some advice on how to maximize your benefit by participating would help? Maybe convince Poobs to shower, shave, and get a haircut?

My favorite is a new member, first (and only) post, "150 for sale"
Obviously using the club as a "Trade-A-Plane" vehicle to sell a plane, hoping a post in the club will get more buyer hits.

Then you get "Hey, a NEW GUY" and..."Ya gotta go to CWI fly-in!"

Uhhh,....he's SELLING his plane,....Hello, hello?

Buy, yeah. The technical questions some people ask, and don't say what model year they have, or what engine, or mags, etc....
But that's OK, perhaps the guy just doesn't know there are differences. That's where the C150-152 club community steps in to help.
Maybe even sell them some 150 parts we have piled up....
