Taylorcraft a possibility? - 05/28/11 03:19 PM
I go a close look at an experimental Taylorcraft over the weekend. I know the owner very well but over the years have never really looked into the airplane. This one happens to have an O-320. (And certified upwards to 1600+ pounds.) Though, an O-200, 235, or 290 would be sufficient I would be thinking. And the baggage compartment is larger then in our 150. The standard empty weight of the Taylorcraft is under 700 pounds. So that would give more then 600 pounds useful load if certified to Light Sport.
Which begs the question. Does anybody here know of somebody selling a Taylorcraft already certified as Experimental?
Thanks,
Bill
