Wally, good luck on your sale. You have done well with that airplane. From getting your license, competing in Clinton soon after, handling a real-life catastrophic engine failure with the grace of an eagle, and taking on the challenge of IFR flying it in.
Your avatar has been one that I love. I can only imagine that little girl looking up at you when the engine ripped itself apart with FULL confidence, giving you the confidence to do what you had to do. Not denying any divine interventions that day, you saved the lives of your daughter, yourself, and your plane. I’ll never forget that story, the pictures, and having the privilege of meeting you.
I hope you’ll continue to hang around here, as have others whose needs for aeronautical transportation have grown beyond the 150/152. Whatever you do, I have no doubt you’ll be as good a steward of your next set of wings as you have been with this set.
I hope we’ll still see you at Clinton.
All the best, Wally,
