Resale? For the next owner? Next prebuy they find a discrepancy and they start digging, leads to a bargaining chip to the new buyer over price.
Perhaps you change your mind about an IFR ticket, updating wt/bal?
If it were me, its just easier in the long run to not change the configuration of the airplane when just replacing damaged or worn parts.
