When I had AOPA do a title search for N9428U (my plane now) before I bought it. AOPA accidentally did a title search for N9482U. I noticed immediately that they had done the wrong N number search and they did another one for N9428U.

But, on the title search for N9482U, it had a lean against it. I called the owner of N9482U and told him what had happened. He was very grateful for the information. He had bought it from a friend and neither one of them had done a title search.

ALWAYS GET A TITLE SEARCH !
