They weren't available on earlier 150's, so won't be listed as applicable. No, it's not legal to install them without filing an FAA form 337 and obtaining approval. It shouldn't be hard to obtain approval, considering all 150's/152's are on the same type certificate anyway, and installation could be considered an improvement or upgrade to an early model. Others have done it and they fit fine. I plan to install them on my 1963 150C.
