Well now Bill, he does have a point. Losing the topic of the thread is not necessary, but is a feature of this site. It becomes a real problem when a member attempts to search on a specific topic. It is perhaps a weakness in this software. Because (in part) of the randomness of postings, searches are problematic. It is really difficult to find what you want with the search feature.

I belong to this site to learn things I don't know. When specific topics are thrown out as a thread, I want to read about the topic or decide not to. I don't want to wade through the swamp of too much jabbing and frat stuff I don't understand. I have learned how to sift, but I think I miss a lot between the "don't your remember when we did this..." stuff. Some of that is fine and adds to the thread. But when the threads move from "my new leather seats" to the last time you went up in a Stearman; that is a bit confusing.

I get my money's worth, but much of this requires a good "ignore" mindset. I'm here to stay, but I wish I could read the real life stories on another thread.
