I know I'm at fault for sidetracking threads now and then. But I guess I dont mind when somone does just that. I relate threads somewhat like a phone conversation.
Example:
I have a friend in Texas that frequents this site, somtimes I'll phone him or he'll phone me, whatever...thing is that the conversation starts out with a specific point such as carburator belt tension. After that the conversation might turn towards the weather, places flown, gossip, making fun of Jeff Hersome <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> ect, ect. Next thing you know an hour has past and the conversation has went 15 different ways from the original topic.
One funny thing is that I've met a LOT of folks from this site in person and remember their voice, when I read their posts I hear it as if they were talking directly to me. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
