?????The People's Republic has no General Aviation to speak of. The only 'civilian' aircraft flying (besides airlines)are:
- business helicopters in the South - Hong Kong, MAYBE Shanghai, and those are for the Chinese super-rich. The pilots are probably associated w/ the military.
-some limited ultralight activity.
I am not aware of any move by the Chinese government to open up GA activities. Perhaps they're going to market a Chinese version of the 152? The way I see it is... that's a GOOD thing.
And as for Chinese technology: yeah, they build some shoddy stuff, but their aircraft industry has been pretty sound, if derivitive: The Nanchang CJ series, the Chinese-built MiG....
