Sorry to be so tardy with a reply.
There's a salvage yard in Clinton, AR where there must be 30-40 150/152's with their butts backed up against a fence.
If Clinton is not to far for you:
1. maybe some one in the club can determine what other year models shared the firewall with the G model so you'd potentially have a larger population base to pick from.
2. I'll be glad to dig out their phone number for you. I think their name is Dawson something or other but regardless I can dig it out.

| | | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 8,433 Likes: 3 Member/7500+posts | | Member/7500+posts Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 8,433 Likes: 3 | Problem with a used firewall is that it is 1) Galvanized and probably has some rust on it, 2) rivet holes may or may not match up, and 3) be almost as much work as a brand new firewall from Cessna, which is stainless steel. I think the new Cessna firewall is a generic "fits all" firewall that requires cutting out the heater openings and a couple of other holes (someone, Carl, correct me if I'm wrong).

If you're looking to replace the whole firewall (I recommend it with any major firewall damage), you should definately go with a new Cessna stainless steel replacement firewall (the originals were all galvanized as Charles suggested). Except for a few alignment holes the rivet holes were never pre-drilled and were all hand drilled during installation, so no two used firewalls are alike and it will be impossible to produce a quality installation (rivet holes a half hole or more off, etc.). The new firewalls have only the pre-drilled rivet/alignment holes that match the old. One size fits all from C-140's through C-150's and C-152's. You will need to cut the correct heater holes, etc., using the old firewall as a template.
I have done this, and it's time consuming, but not that hard with the right tools. | | |
