Mark,

My mechanic gave me one some time ago to try and sell for him. I tried and couldn't find anyone, so I gave it back. I just left him a message to see if he still has it. I'm fairly sure we can give it to you for shipping cost, if it's still around. I'll let you know what I find out.

Hot damn! You live in Alaska? How would something like that get shipped to California. Fed Ex? USPS?

p.s. I am sending your pictures to my paint guy. He will let me know if this is going to work (I have a feeling it will). If I do wind up having you send this, and it works out, this is definitely worth a case of Eskimo Pies, or something equivalent, for your, and your mechanic's time.

Dog sled ... it's in my igloo right now, all I have to do it lash it down on the sled with strips of caribou hide and off we go! grin laugh

I can ship it FedEx or UPS, air or ground, and I'm sure the USPS would take it, but I have never shipped anything this big via USPS.

Ground isn't a bad option, because it is cheaper than air, and both FedEx and UPS will ship it out of here via air freight, because it is cheaper for them. They'll get it to a sorting facility close to you (Oakland?) and then put it on a ground truck.

I just shipped a prop to another club member and have another one to ship out next week. It's no big deal.

Here's a comparison of the fin on my plane and the fin Terry has. Are these the same? They look different to me.

Mark

From the pics it looks like your tail is the later version wich is taller than the vertical Terry has. I think the taller style came out in 1973 or 4 and newer. Your rudder will not bolt up to his part.

Sorry for the bad news but I'd hate for you to ship it all that way just to find out it won't work. Been there, done that.

Mike

Now hold on a second, Mark's got a H model which is still the short tail.
