In my search for a Garmin GPS III Pilot, one of the CPS members offered to sell me this ATC unit. In my normal fashion, I immediately purchased it then started researching the unit. I had a thought in the back of my mind left over from my AnywhereMap experience from a PDA unit donated to me by our very own Daryl Medd that there might be a problem. After a few emails to customer service and finally a phone call, I found out that the database updates include only US airports (although the Canadian airports show up on the screen just like the US sectionals show them). Nav Canada still has not seen fit to provide at a reasonable cost, data to the aviation product manufacturers. So therefore any runway, frequency changes, etc would never be current. On top of that customer service told me they are not sure that the XM weather would work properly in Canada as the software was built around XM US. I believe it would, but who knows? I just can't justify the cost of XM Wx for the type of flying I do.

So I have decided to offer this up for sale. This is a really sweet unit and I only wish it would be useful to me. It is everything I wanted in a GPS at a more than affordable price.
