Sorry, not in Texas, but Airframe Components by Williams, Inc. (formerly Williams Airmotive) in Kendallville, Indiana, has an absolutely sterling reputation for very high quality work rebuilding wings, flaps, rudders, etc. etc. They have common parts in stock, ready to go on an exchange basis.

There is an excellent shop in Mena, AR that is widely known for major structural work and repairs. I believe their name is Hampton Enterprises or something like that??

I'm in Clinton now and can get you more specifics and nail it down when I return if you're interested. Not Texas but next door.

Pedro,

I'm probably late but I used Airframe by Williams (Roy) for my Aerobat. They took my wings and eliminated repairs done in 1979 and put back as thou Cessna built the wings. The wing sheeting was replaced and all interior parts cleaned and primered. The flap tracks were replaced as well. The horizontal and vertical tail were jigged to check alignment and we checked for corrosion and primed the interior surfaces. They provided 8130 tags for wings, tail group and inspected all control surfaces. I interviewed Mena but decided on Airframe by Williams. They provided outstanding workmanship and had everything completed within two weeks. You might ask them for a cash discount.

Scott,

When did you have your wings repaired and how much did it end up costing you. I've now got all the parts collected to repair a 172 wing for one of my projects, but am curious as to a cost comparison.

Kendel,

We had them rebuilt in June 2012. Both wings, horizontal/vertical corrections and new landing gear fairing ran near $11,000.00

The wings looked like a P51 restoration. They were perfect! I suggest calling Roy Williams. He is a very knowledgeable and more than accommodating.

BTW......Airframes keeps rebuilt and components in stock. They probably have a set of wings for your plane if you want to exchange for a quick turn. I wanted to use my wings so they rebuilt within two weeks.......Great people!
