If anybody has a suggestion on what would be the cheapest way to ship parts from the U.S. to Italy, it would help Fabio get his project in the air ( and help me clean out the hangar).
UPS wants between $600 and $900 for a 35 pound package containing the tanks and fork.
Anything other than deck cargo on a submarine has got to be cheaper than that.
You're forgetting that we have in our midst two ATPs who fly cargo whales all over the world. If a cylinder lamp can be personally delivered to Sydney, a 40"x40"x30" box can't be much more difficult than that.
I carry a 24" Walkaround, a Flight Bag, and an extra smaller bag. An extra bag or box no bigger than what a cylinder lamp would be is about my limit. Then that extra box would have to go to JFK when I am there and then I would need a trip to where IT needs to go.
