Second post in as many days, I got the fever now!

I am getting serious about a '79 152 and don't know where to take it for a pre-purchase inpection. The plane is located in Beverly, MA. I live in Pepperell, Ma which is 60 miles North West of Boston. I would like the location to be convenient for both of us...

I want to participate and possibly have a few things fixed at the inspection. Can anyone recommend a mechanic who might be able to help me out?

Thanks,
Tim Hynes

I know a couple of mechanics in RI I could recommend but that
is probably too far for you.
And I know of one in Central Ma that I would definitely NOT recommend or should I say recommend you stay away from !!!

Twin City Airmotive (978) 342-8700 at Fitchburg Airport did my pre-purchase and they saved me thousands in discrepancies on the first 150 I looked at and ended up not buying. It would have been a real money pit! They also wanted me there to watch the inspection which was very educational and I was impressed. I wound up buying one that they have been maintaining for years and it's been good so far.

Wayne Hansen,

Thanks for the info. I spoke with Brooks, and was impressed with his knowledge. I may end up using him for a pre-purchase inspection...

Eric salvo,

Thanks for your help. I had a good conversation with Twin City Airmotive. It is good to know there is a good mechanic in the area.

Regards,
Tim Hynes
