With my Madras tips the airspeed indicator stops working long before the stall. The stall is soft with with almost no buffeting. They were on the plane when I bought it. I didn't like the look at first but I'm growing used to them now. Never flown a 150G without them but slow flight seems improved over the 152's I've flow in the past.

James, I started to install them today and the transformers for the strobes interferes with the installation. I am turning the transformers horizontally to fit the tips. need to know if you may have had the same issues. When I do that they fit. They are Novastar Strobes 1980 time frame.

Terrence, the Aeroflash transformers (the ones that were installed by Cessna) were mounted horizontally on a mounting plate mounted to the rib. I've not tried mounting Hoerner tips over them, but I suspect the horizontal mounting would be necessary, even for my stock conical tips.

My A/P installed them while I was out of town so do not know how they did it or what problems they may have had if any..
