My 150 has a DelAir/ACT tailwheel conversionSTC and the rudder horn gets pulled down by the tailwheel springs/chains. Over time the rudder horn bends down at the ends. I've seen them bent down so much the rudder stop bumpers were no longer contacting the stops!

I want to find one to use as a pattern to make a thicker horn (via 337 field approval of course). I dont want to remove mine until I have approval for the alteration.

Actually... I don't even need to buy one. If I could borrow one for a week that would be sufficient for me to digitize it and make CAD model of it.

And $1700 for a new one is beyond LUDICROUS! It's criminal!

I will be driving up to Mesa on Monday for meetings at ASU. I can toss a complete rudder in the car to bring up with me. PM me your cell number and we'll meet up.

I elongated a few holes, but it's good enough to serve as a template

A couple of months ago, I bought N6936T, a 1960 Cessna 310D, from a well known salvage dealer on eBay in order to get the props and engines. When I went to inspect the aircraft in North Bend, Oregon, I found the props and engines were corroded beyond use from having been parked next to the ocean for five years. Since the airplane was not as represented, I asked for and got a refund a week ago.

Another 310D with a spar problem, but having the props I need, popped up on Barnstormers in the Dallas area. It's now mine; N6937T. Didn't click in my head until last night that I've owned airplanes one serial and N number apart.
