Looking for a Cessna 150 alternator for my 1974 150L. The drive shaft broke on mine. Does anyone have a used one for sale or know where I can get a good deal on a remanufactured one.

Also I've been chasing a vibration for past 6 months; think the alternator could have been the issue all along looks like the bearing failed.

I've got one...as removed...from my engine upgrade. 2114TT hrs on it since it was born in 1976.

You probably won't like the UPS shipping to AK, though. USPS is always an option. Chief's site must not be iPad friendly. How much is the overhauled version?

After a quick check on ebay, Gently used ones are in the $7-800 range. I'd be happy with half of that, as is, working when removed, gear included, $350 plus USPS postage. I'll even clean it up for you prior to shipping.

Thanks for the help guys. After mulling it over numerous timesI ended up purchasing a plane power kit (ER14-50). Hopefully this was a good choice, my research says so. If anyone has experience with this kit install please let me know.

ive got allot of flying to do to get my money back; I've spent 5k in my cost during my first year of ownership. It's a good thing I'm an A&P and only paid parts cost.

Hopefully I've got it to thr point now where I can fly and not work on it continually.

I have a Plane Power alternator on my 152 ( not the same setup) and like it.

I put a Plane Power alternator on my 150 when my original alternator died.

We had a few problems getting it to work, but not due to Plane Power, it was due to some creative wiring by the previous owner's mechanic.

Once I got it up and running it works great! Even got rid of the hum in the radio.
