View my prior post here "Need advice on the possibility of parting out my C-150L" for the backstory and some additional pics.

Wanting suggested selling price for my 1972 C-150L TT 5280 SMOH 1395. **It will need a rebuilt engine** as unrepairable corrosion is on the crankshaft just aft of prop. Also will need mags as well.

Pics on other post of interior and and crankshaft corrosion.

Paint 3/10
Interior 7/10
New tires, new battery
Wing-tip strobes
New glass all around in 2007, windshield in 1989 (still looks great)
New AirTex carpet in 2007
New PlanePlastics interior 2007
Seats original, but in good condition
Headliner original, but in good condition
KX-155 and KX-155 Glideslope indicator (indicator only used as VOR)
RT-355 Transponder
Original Cessna radio (used only for the original VOR)
Original Prop, no overhaul.
NDH
Hangered since 2004
My AI said two months ago that the airframe is Airworthy, but will need an anti-corrosion spray in wings soon.

When the AI and I were talking, we both came up with the same number, $7K

I took some detailed pics today for an A&P who might be interested, shown on this post, but will post more up a little later on this thread.

I am guessing the best way to "price it down" is to see what Vref will show it with a new engine, then mark it down what it would cost to do a rebuild, then subtract "Needs Paint", subtract cost of new mags, etc.

Ideally, this is an A&P project plane, but not everybody is an A&P. So I will likely get a two-tier price suggestions based on who is an A&P or not. That's fine, I will take both.

So your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to give me a reasonable price given the good, bad, and the ugly listed here.
If this helps, What would be your highest bid for this bird, if at an auction?

On Vref, I did a breakdown:

Using TT of 5,280 with 0 SMOH, not adding in any interior improvements, and just needing paint = $24,354
-10% to reflect average market pricing = $21,920
-$2,800 for mags = $19,120
-$12,000 for rebuild = $7,120

One could conceivably do an engine swap, and that would change things. I did look into it briefly, but I am moving to a 4-place soon.

Unless you're a buyer. grin

In my case, I paid just about Vref price for my Cardinal.
