"Virgin" crank would imply un-used in my books, standard dimensions would be used, but polished only - not ground to M010 or M020 due to wear. Never heard of a "rebent" crank - but knowing what I know about Continental crankshafts, if you bend and then re-bend one, it's likely to be cracked. I can't imagine any reputable shop tagging such a crankshaft.

Last time I called a barnstormer's ad regarding crankshafts for an O200, he said there aren't many out there. Whenever he lists one for sale it sells almost immediately.

PM sent Anthony... I might be able to help out.

Getting input from some sources that there's a shortage of cranks for the small Continentals. Anyone run across this?

When I had my O-200 overhauled in 2010 I had to spring for a new crankshaft. Overhauled ones were simply unavailable.

Does anyone know whether or not new cranks are available? Just for future reference. I hope I don't need one.

I believe new ones are available...

$4550 with return of an unserviceable core. No core? Add $1000.

eek

Wonder what they do with an unservicable core to make it worth $1,000.00?
