One of the little plastic handhold straps (called "chicken straps" in my misspent youth) mounted on the window post finally broke after 51 years of faithful service. Does anyone know of a reasonable replacement or substitute? Nervous passengers like them, and they're handy to hang excess cables, etc. on.

Your best solution is to take the pieces to an auto upholstery shop and have them make you a new strap with your old metal clips. Your other option is to find a 1963-1965 2 door Chrysler New Yorker and remove the door assist strap and use that.
Would you consider going to a shop that sells Horse Tack & Supplies or a Saddlery. I’ll bet they can give you some colorful ideas. Lots of braided items that look as nice as leather. Just saying. . .
Here's what I did. Keep in mind, I am retired and have time on my hands. I went to Lowes and asked for and was given about a three foot length of metal strapping tape that was used to secure boxes to a pallet. I cut them to length, drilled holes, painted them red, slid 1/2 inch clear tubing over them and then mounted them.

That looks incredible, Elliot! Great job! My jesus strap is missing on the pilot side. The fastening hardware, as well as the strap is gone. I'm thinking of devising a holder for my iPhone 8+ there. The iPhone 8+ is smaller than the iPad mini, but big for a phone. It'll be close enough to touch the screen and see, but not directly in front of my forward vision like I have it now--the holder is on top of the glare shield directly in front of my eyes. The only thing is, then I wouldn't have a strap (but I've been getting along without it).
After fighting off a killer head cold for about a week now, I finally got out to my hangar to look for these. I knew they were out there somewhere in my stash and I found them yesterday. I bought them thinking I could use them on my 1965 "E" model but the where a little short. When mounted, they were so tight, I couldn't get my fingers under them to get a good grip. So, I made my own. If you think they will fit your 150 (I'm guessing a later model than mine) I'll send them to you. From the inner most area of the slot, they measure 7 1/4 inches. PM or email and I'll send them to you. You can reach me at flymach86@hotmail.com Cheers, Elliot
