You are lucky, the left wing usually takes the hit during a ground loop. Used Right wingtip parts are more plentiful than the left.....

just a thought here... bout why not weld the gear leg back together for the trip home? Butt weld then place a scab plate over the weld on the bottom side and weld. Would be a quick fix and would work for the ride home. That said... I may know someone interested. Will speak with him today.

Brilliant idea on the temporary leg. Rather than weld it, I will see if I can fabricate a bolt on sleeve
