Well, I am even more glad that I was able to attend Clinton now. Otherwise I would not have had the pleasure of flying formation with you at the controls of 150WW. I sure hope that it goes to a new owner that appreciates what a fine airplane really is! The Sporthawk is an incredible example of the finest a 150/150 has to offer.
If I can ever get this Cherokee 180 running right, I was thinking of unloading it for a 182.
But I must admit, I had a fantasy or two about one day owning the Sporthawk when you got tired of it. Just wasn't counting on it being so soon.

It won't climb as fast, it won't fly as fast, it won't fly as far on one tank of gas, but it will haul the kitchen sink and a Christmas Turkey! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Gary, I am curious about your "won't fly as FAST". In a perfect world my 150/150 was a 110 knot airplane whereas I was under the impression that the 182 was a 140 knot bird. Please explain? Jeff, I was emotionally traumatized that my Los Vaquero Amigo is getting rid of the beloved and as acquired the coveted. All I can say, is the grass ain't always greener on the other side. There's no way the 150/150 could keep up with the 182 at cruise. I know that...I was just talking smack. I wasn't serious. You know, like the woman who's promising to be faithful right after she's been busted cheating...Idle, meaningless words, carelessly thrown about in the heat of emotion, still attempting to manipulate a situation that has cartwheeled out of her control... I'm happy for Wayne...the biggest reason is that now his sweet, wonderful bride will be able to enjoy flying with him now more than ever. For a woman like Ann, I'd rope the moon. He's a super husband to a wonderful woman. Truly a match made in heaven. He'll miss the Sporthawk when she's gone, but the morning runs to Ruidoso will take on a different light...

Oh! And the ultimate 182 modification! http://www.260se.com/index.html Naw, way too much money. You have to pay them or their distributors to do the work, they don't sell parts or kits. I'll stick with the supercharger and carb. and other mods. Charles | | |
