N71786 is a 1969 C182M with 2800 hours on the airframe, 1100 hrs since major, 100 hrs. since a chrome top (not my favorite way to go), 425 hrs since prop overhaul. Compression is in the mid 70s on all cylinders. Spectrographic oil analysis looks very good. The paint is about a 5 and interior is about a 7.

The radio stack is a disaster; 2 Collins navs, one Collins com, 1 Icom 200A com, Apollo Loran C, AT1500 transponder with encoder, a 4 place intercom and a big ol? empty hole.

I plan to end up with a KMA-20 audio panel, the two Collins navs, 2 Icom 200A coms, , theT1500 transponder, Intercom, Stec-40 autopilot (from the SportHawk) and a GPSmap 396.

I am developing a squawk list that is already pretty long. The squawks are mainly minor things like door handles, window restraint, inop clock, inop EGT, inop CHT and stuff like that. The cosmetics are on the scanky side but I will leave them alone until all of the other squawks are cleared.

The main thing is that I believe that the plane is mechanically solid and that I should be able to fly it for a good while without any major maintenance issues.

Garry is right as rain about missing the SportHawk. I have never owned an airplane that was more fun. I hope that I can find her a nice home with someone that will fly the heck out her and keep her clean and well maintained. I will be putting her on the market AFTER I pull the autopilot and replace the gyros, probably two to three weeks.

BTW I am 6? 2? not 9? 2?. I guess that getting a ton and a half airplane gave me delusions of grandure

Knowing Ann, if I showed up to collect on the basket of hugs, I'd end up with all the hugs, cookies, Cream of Broccoli and cheese soup AND cheese crackers.

Yep, you married way above yourself, Wayne. She's a real doll.

Sniffle, sniffle, sniffle

Okay, you're still welcome to attend any of our functions. At least you didn't depart to the dark side and decide your wing needed to be ...uh hum, uhhh, down there, if you know what I mean...

Nice ride, Wayne. Congratulations.

OUCH!!!
