Just picked up a 150 and the KNS-80 went belly up shortly into first flight. Going to have this one looked at, but thought I'd put some feelers out to see if anyone had one laying around due to recent upgrade.

Zippy,

Geoff had one installed in his 150 a while back and I hope yours has an easy/cheap fix.

If it's not feasible to repair yours, I wonder if a Garmin 660 would slip right in the existing opening?

That 660 is one heck of a unit......a miniature 796.

Jim,

Geoff gave me a lead on a repair facility that seems pretty legit, so I'll give them a go and see what they come up with. In the mean time I'll take a look at the 660.

Thank you!
