Hey Guys & Gals,

I still have not sold my 150 and I DO NOT want to spend the money to hanger it for the winter. I just dropped the price again on Barnstormers to $15,000, but at this point I will consider all Reasonable offers. The plane is a bit cosmetically challenged, but runs & flies great. We are a bit out of the way and I believe that has been a hindrance so far. So, here is the link, if anyone has any interest, give me a shout. E-mail is probably the best option since our cell service is spotty. pete@beaverbrook.net Cell# 518-744-0699

Well,

I sold the 150 today. It's headed to Texas as a partnership for three young pilots with airline aspirations to build time in. Financed by a retired airline/air force flown everything and still loves aviation guy. They are going to lite out for the Houston area tomorrow. I am glad. I've got to tell you though, I DO NOT want to ever sell another plane to the general public. For me it was a huge pain in the ass. Dozens of calls, e-mails and texts from people that had no real interest at all in the plane, but wanted to see copies of everything. Several obvious scams and one not so obvious. Multiple low ball offers. One guy asked me when I would take $7,500 for it. I e-mailed back when a tree falls on it. Plus several people that made appointments to see it and never showed. Anyhow it is sold, I am both happy & sad and I plan on staying on the forum until I buy another one.

Pete

That's funny, Pete. grin

Congrats on selling it and I'm glad it's in your rear view mirror.

I will add my congrats, Pete! I'm kind of like you in that if it ain't worth $15,000, it ain't worth anything. I will be checking FlightAware in a minute to see if I can find it on its way to Houston (Poobs country).

I bought, sold....then bought..and sold, and bought again only at my home airport...and I have been VERY foutunate to not have gone thru the parade of tire kicking low balling scammers and dreamers who aren't really serious or qualified buyers.

Add to repeated meet or "FTA" (fail to appear) characters, to open or inspect and waste your time... It is just how things are today.

I also would NERER sell via an online ad...for all your reasons.
