I saw this post in the Cessna 172 Club forums [cessna172club.com]. It looks like a nice plane.

Paint, glass and all external plastic $15,000, complete new interior $4,000 Avionics install $16,000, Engine and accessories $26,000, total invested not counting 300 hrs of labor $89,000. Probably the best C-152 in the world. Open to reasonable offers.

Moving out of Florida and back to Tenn. after the hurricane destroyed my airport and severely damaged my home......... I no longer have a hangar and can't take the plane with me. After 45 years of flying and restoring aircraft I am going back to flying Sail Planes and will keep one based at Chilhowee Gliderport where I flew for many years. Am open to reasonable offers on the aircraft. Engine is 10 SMOH by Gann Aviation with new cam, cylinder kits, magnetos, Oil cooler, plugs harness, complete exhaust system. The aircraft has been restored from nose to tail. Garmin 430, Stratus ESG-I with WI-FI, flap system completely overhauled with new wiring, motor and 4 new limit switches, all new glass and paint by Wiregrass Airplane Company. Interior sheet metal cleaned, etched, alodined and primed, no hail no corrosion.

You can see hundreds of restoration photos and log boks at this link there are 8 separate galleries: https://stevedunn.smugmug.com/

The aircraft is off the market now. The owner decided to keep it.

Wise move on his part, after making it so darn nice. He'd only take the loss when selling. It's not too much of a stretch that he could fly enough to reap full value in fun.
