I have an unused pair of Mutt Muffs that Bella won't wear ... she scratches them off as soon as I put them on her.

Many folks find these to be wonderful for their dog, not just for flying, but useful for boating, fireworks, racing, concerts ... anywhere a doggy needs hearing protection, but it just didn't work out with Bella.

They are size XS and are free (about $60 value) to anyone who will pay postage. I believe they'll fit in a USPS small flat rate box, so shipping is pretty cheap.

If you are interested, reply here and send me a PM with your mailing address.

Folks, the Mutt Muffs are still available ... Dan found that it's too small for his dog so I still have it and willing to send it to anyone who can use it ... it'll fit in a small flat rate box so it won't cost a lot to mail it.

If I bought these I'd have to go get a dog to sit under them.

Speaking as a guy who didn't know much about dogs until a few years after marrying a woman who loved them - your idea might just have a lot of merit.

Our dog loves going in the airplane - if I'm just in the hangar reading or working on something, I have to open the door and let him sit in the airplane. When I say something about going to the hangar, he heads straight to the car.

Unfortunately, he is also a dog that doesn't seem to be able to wear mutt muffs. He rubs his head against something and they're immediately out of position. He wears slightly oversize earplugs that are on cords so they can't slip too far into his ears.

He loves flying but gets pretty nervous in turbulence.
