Just got this post from Shelby Isham at Tennessee Wings. Go to his site at: Tennessee Wings

Hey Jeff;

I got this info really late in the game, but thought I'd pass it along in case you know of somebody who would want to get in a 150 fairly cheap. I got a call from Michael Roberts at the Memphis Navy Flying Club and he tells me that they are going to sell their 1973 150 at public auction. He emailed me the info and the sale closes tomorrow. I went ahead and posted a link to photos and details, contact info and all on the what's new page of my web site. Maybe that'll help them out a little bit. I've never seen this plane before and don't have any connections with the Navy club. Michael seems like a nice guy, so I posted some info to help him out. The plane definitely needs a refurb. The paint and interior both are just terrible, but the engine is fairly low time. Might be a good winter refurb for somebody to invest in and possibly come out with a decent 150 as a first airplane.

The airplane is based at the Millington Naval Air Station next door to Memphis. NAS Millington is about 35 nautical miles from me. Just thought I'd pass the info along.

Shelby.

Jeff,
Maybe it is my computer set up, but the web page of Tennessee Wings will not come up. I get the message NOT FOUND.

The link that Jeff posted has errors in it (too many "http" headers). Try www.tnwings.com [tnwings.com] , however, I didn't find the Navy C150 there.

Follow the instructions in Shelby's email (which I didn't the first time). It is under the "What's New" section, and most of the way down the page you will see "Announcement" and a button that takes you to the Navy site.

Sorry about the link...will try to fix it, but by now it may be too late anyway

I apologize for the confusion on the Navy link. I got the info from Michael so late that I hurriedly put it up under "what's new" instead of a direct link on the side. I wish I had a chance to go look at it in person and get more detailed photos. That would've given potential bidders a little more insight to what's there, the condition of it, etc. As it stands now, buyers will have to rely on the basic specs he emailed to me plus whatever info the people at the phone numbers provided can give them.

I knew they were thinking about selling it but I had no idea the times and closing dates had already been set. I hate that I got the info so late.

Best Regards,

Shelby.

P.S. Thanks for posting this for them here, Jeff.
