Silly question ,are canvas cockpit covers recommended for the fly in or are sun shields adequate.?

It can be quite sunny and hot at Clinton. Bring both if you have room in your plane. If room is limited, bring the canvas cover because sometimes there were hail storms. One time a hail storm hit while everyone was at the banquet at a restaurant in town, luckily there was no damage. If you will be taking your plane flying frequently (group fly out, contests, sight seeing) and don't want to put the canvas cover up/down many times, throw a large white bath towel across the instrument panel. That will reflect a lot of heat away from the cockpit and keep the instrument cool.
