Best wishes - this is an outstanding 150! Probably among the BEST still flying, inside and out! MM | | | Re: Full IFR GPS 1968 Cessna 150H For Sale | Joined: Apr 2019 Posts: 281 Likes: 44 Member/250+posts | OP Member/250+posts Joined: Apr 2019 Posts: 281 Likes: 44 | Aircraft Sold
Thanks for all the kind words, guys.
Sale Debrief:
Within 11 minutes of posting my $25 Barnstormers ad I received a call from a buyer who purchased it this morning. He's a nice young private pilot working his way to his CFII. His son will use it to, he says. If it wasn't for the holiday he would have flown it away sooner than this morning.
I had four backup offers within two days.
The fifth caller wanted to negotiate on price at the beginning of the call. I chuckled and began my retort with, "you're #5 in line. I'll let you know if things change."
One caller wanted to trade me "straight-up" for a lifted Hummer H3 (the worst model ever) that was in California. I'm sure I would have had to fly to him and drive myself back to Michigan. Blue Book value is $13,000. That was good for a laugh.

See you in July... AA-Ron, I am always astonished at the clown who starts the conversation with "negotiating the price" right off the bat. In my older years now, I just politely tell them the item is no longer for sale...meaning no longer for sale TO THEM. It is laughable to hear some of the offers you recieved! Thanks for sharing! Glad you both got what you wanted on this deal - a great plane for a fair price to a good buyer! Please let him know about this club! He has a teenage son so I encouraged him again to come to the fly-in.
I hope he does. He would be a great addition. | 3 members like this:
